Willie Nelson, now about 76 years old, can definitely still sing but he seems to have gotten lazy on this recording. I love Willie Nelson, but this CD is disappointing compared to his first album of standards recorded about thirty years ago. The arrangements, frankly, are a little boring and Willie almost talks his way through some of these songs.
I look forward to many hours of relaxing listening. I'm so glad to have found this on Amazon after a fruitless search in local retailers. I am really enjoying the CD "Stardust" by Willie Nelson. His unique treatment of standard ballads is terrific.
You will not be disappointed. If you are a Willie Nelson fan or just a lover of good music this is a must-have CD. This is the best Willie Nelson CD that I have ever heard. Every song is a jem.
